Running circles around the competition for Care Super.
Right from the starting line we were in good shape as we raced to the finish line with some of our favourite running mates. With lovely Art Direction from Lilian Darmono and storyboards from Sacha Bryning, our core team created a series of dynamic, action filled spots for TV & online to help Care Super show that they can outperform the competition.
Working with Andrew Montague from Pixel, we helped concept and integrate live action footage of Olympic Swimmer Giaan Rooney seamlessly within our animated cast.
For the character animation we started with traditional frame by frame animation reference to block out the extreme poses. We wanted to ensure we could push the angles and perspective of the characters to create dynamic, action filled sequences. We then used a rigging process to trace over the cel reference and fill in the blanks. The final step was manually go back over the rigging reference with artwork and frame by frame animated artwork .
